Solar Panel Installation in NJ

If you’re considering solar for your home in New Jersey, you’ve likely heard of the benefits of going solar — increased energy independence, lower electricity bills, a reduced carbon footprint, and more. Many homeowners from Cumberland County to Essex county (see our service map!) have installed solar panels on their roofs and are already enjoying the financial and environmental benefits that solar can offer.

Solar is an important investment that you make in your home, and our mission at Amped On Solar is to give you the information you need to make the best possible decision for you. We offer complete solar photovoltaic (PV) system design, installation, and financing services in the greater Florence, NJ area.

Giving You Clear & Concise Information About Solar

At Amped On Solar, we take pride in giving New Jersey homeowners informative answers to their solar questions. During your conversation with us, you’ll learn about the best solar energy system options for your home, the types of equipment we install (as a Panasonic Authorized Solar Installer, we often recommend Panasonic solar panels for their efficiency, features and warranty), financing options that can reduce the upfront cost of solar, and more.  We are so dedicated to putting the customer’s needs first that customers often tell us they learned more during one hour with us than they did with any other solar contractor!

Installer of Top Quality Panasonic Solar Panels

Amped On Solar is proud to be a Panasonic Authorized Solar Installer, allowing us to bring our customers the best solar panels on the market, which deliver a higher return on investment. The unique solar cell structure of Panasonic solar panels makes them more efficient than conventional panels. Panasonic is one of America’s most trusted solar panel brands, and every panel is backed by a 25-year warranty on production, material AND labor!  In addition to Panasonic solar panels, we also offer other options and will happily install them if they best suit your need

Connecting You with Solar Financing & Incentives

The benefits of solar don’t have to be out of reach if you are on a budget. Our team has worked with many homeowners to connect them with financing options and incentives that reduce the upfront cost of a solar PV system. Whether you want to secure a loan from one of our financing partners, or take advantage of valuable solar incentives like net metering, SRECs, and solar tax credits, we have you covered.  Don’t forget that 2019 is the final year to get the maximum Federal Investment Tax Credit rate of 30% when you install solar before it declines next year and is eliminated by 2022.  AND, eligibility for the New Jersey SREC Program is due to end late 2019 to early 2020.

“Can My Home Have Solar Panels?”

The first thing you need to determine is what roof area(s) on your home are suitable for solar.

  • Does it face in a southerly direction?

  • Is there a large enough unobstructed area to install an array?

  • Do you have a lot of shade from trees or nearby structures?

  • How old is your roof?

The more your solar panel array faces south, the better. However, orientation is often the least important factor in system design.

Shading, Not Shadow

Keep in mind that the most important consideration in proper solar PV system design is shading. Shading is not always about direct shadows; it also refers to how much sun a solar panel "sees" (or doesn’t see) throughout the day. Shading may be affected by a nearby tree or structure, another section of the roof, etc. A proper system design uses tools to help determine what the “solar acces” is at all locations on your roof. When done properly, these measurements will clearly map out the best locations for installation of an efficient solar array.

Amped On Solar: Putting Your Solar Goals First

Unfortunately, many solar contractors here in New Jersey are only interested in putting as many solar panels on your roof as possible for the lowest cost. All too often, that means placing solar panels in areas that are overly compromised by shading or that have poor orientation. This results in lower energy production, savings, and revenue — not to mention a lower return on investment.

There is always a way to offset as much of your energy usage as possible without sacrificing efficiency. If the solar contractor you choose is not capable of performing an efficiency study to help you make proper decisions, it's time to pick another contractor.

At Amped On Solar, we make it our mission to put our clients’ solar goals first and you can see the results from testimonials from our happy solar customers like Steve in Bordentown, NJ!

"From start to finish Amped on Solar outperformed their peers. They had the most comprehensive evaluation process, use the highest quality solar panels, and were the cheapest of the four companies I solicited for bids. If you're thinking about going solar you'd do well to make Amped on Solar your first call."
